Cristom is a mere 15 minute drive from downtown Salem, and provides a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, and scenic views to taste restaurant quality wines in. It’s easy to get lost in conversation here, given how comfortable you will be. 

Reservations are recommended as it can get busy on weekends. Pinot Noir is the feature here, but they also have a few other varietals to taste, including a Rose of Pinot Noir and noteworthy Syrah, to name a few. Aside from the typical flight tastings, there are several events that are offered, depending on availability.

The most in depth is the Cristom Experience, a two hour tasting with a dedicated host in a private room. Here you will learn about the wine history, winemaker, soil, estate, and more. Additionally, the Eco-Tour is a unique experience that takes you directly into the vineyards in an estate vehicle where you will be able to taste grapes from the vines, and better understand the nuances behind what makes the wines taste so different from one another – even though they are only a few blocks away.
