Dedicated conversation on Oregon terroir and wine history is Lingua Franca’s forte. This is not a surprise, given that Larry Stone and Dvid Honig, the founders, are pioneers for this part of Oregon’s wine valley. Influenced and guided by Dominique Lafon of Burgundy, the group set out to create something exceptional, and have been making their mark ever since. Originally, Stone intended to focus the land on fruit production exclusively, but it was Lafon who convinced him that it deserved to be much more. Today, the brand receives high accolades for their wines, which focus primarily on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
About Your Visit
Looking forward, the team is building a hospitality and tasting center in order to accommodate more guests. The intent is to continue to build high quality relationships that focus on deep conversation around wine, regardless of guest volume. At present, the winery is dog-friendly, but there is not much entertainment for children at the tasting room. Despite this, the team will not turn someone away if they have a well-mannered child present. They look forward to meeting and sharing their story with you!
