Here is a fun spot that has so much to offer that it’s a true local favorite. Eola Hills winery actually has two tasting rooms, and the Legacy Estate Vineyard is truly a gem, given its close proximity to Salem, and the abundant experiences offered here. 

Vineyard Hikes

Very few wineries allow vineyard hiking, and this is one of them. Hike to the top of the property for breathtaking views and plenty of picnic spots along the way. A map is provided and some key areas are highlighted giving you plenty of options for how to spend your time. They even have a fossil vineyard where fossils were found that you can explore as well (but no shovels allowed!)

Yoga, music and food

Eola Hills Winery hosts other popular events too. Join in on a weekly yoga session or outdoor concert, or just order your favorite bottle and find a place to picnic. Charcuterie plates are offered, but if you are looking for something more filling, the staff is happy to share nearby delivery services. According to staff, it is not uncommon to see pizzas delivered here while folks wind down with their favorite bottle in the plentiful outdoor seating areas. 

Accommodations

While they are currently building an AirBnB above the hike trail, Eola Hills has another unique experience, which is camping on site. As part of the Harvest Host program, you can reserve your RV or tent stay on the property as well.
